Clindamycin 1% / tretinoin 0.025% gel
Treclin is a possible treatment option for mild to moderate acne following clinical assessment.
Standard PGD directions
Apply a pea-sized amount across affected facial areas at bedtime.
Some patients may be advised to begin on alternate-day application and increase to daily use as tolerated.
Treatment is restricted to a maximum of 12 weeks because it contains an antibiotic.
Expected time course
Several weeks may be required before improvement is seen.

- Eye irritation
- Swelling
- Sensitivity to sunlight
- Mild changes in skin pigmentation
Skincare and application advice
- Avoid the eyes, eyelids, lips and nostrils when applying it.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Treclin is not suitable for patients who are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Reliable contraception is required for women of childbearing potential during treatment and for one month after treatment finishes.
